1.Business Entity
The first legality that must be fulfilled is establishing a business entity. Quoted from the Shopee website, Shopee Mall sellers must be in the form of one of the business entities, such as Limited Liability Company, CV, Distributor, Firm, Cooperative, Civil Partnership, General Partnership, Persero, or Trade Business. 2.Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP)
The next requirement that Shopee Mall Sellers must fulfill is the NPWP. Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) is a number given to taxpayers as a means in tax administration which is used as a personal identification or identity of taxpayers in exercising their rights and fulfilling their tax obligations. To obtain an NPWP, business actors need to prepare the necessary documents, including:
- Copy of ID card of the owner or one of the management
- Copy of Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) card of the owner or one of the administrators
- Copy of business license document
- Certificate of domicile/place of business activity
- Power of attorney letter with stamp duty if the NPWP management is not carried out by the owner or management.
If the above requirements are complete, business actors can apply for an NPWP offline by coming to the Tax Office (KPP) where the business is located or online. 3.Business Identification Number (NIB)/ Trade Business License (SIUP)
The next requirement and legality that must be met is the NIB/SIUP. NIB is the identity of business actors to carry out their business activities issued through OSS. Meanwhile, SIUP is a license to be able to carry out trading business activities. In other words, SIUP is an operational license that must be owned by all companies or entities that carry out business activities in the field of trade, such as goods or services. 4.Trademark Rights
The next legality that must be fulfilled by Sobat KH is trademark rights. Trademarks are signs that can be displayed graphically in the form of images, logos, names, words, letters, numbers, color arrangements, in 2-dimensional and / or 3-dimensional form, sound, holograms, or a combination of 2 or more of these elements to distinguish goods produced by persons or legal entities in the trading activities of goods. To obtain trademark rights, business actors need to register the trademark owned in advance to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI). 5.BPOM/Depkes/Postel certificate
The last requirement and legality that Shopee Mall sellers need to have is the BPOM/Depkes/Postel Certificate. The BPOM certificate / distribution permit in question is the approval of the results of processed food assessment issued by BPOM in the context of processed food circulation. The BPOM distribution permit is basically mandatory for every business actor who will trade processed food products in retail packaging, whether domestically produced or imported.
